Yahoo

Yahoo's business plan is to more efficiently compete with other major companies such as Google and Facebook. To do so, Yahoo is developing a new communications hub based on their email software. At the consumer electronics Show in Las Vegas, Jerry Yang displayed Yahoo's email software prototype. Jerry Yang is the chief executive of Yahoo. The goal is to create a "starting point" for consumers like Google and Facebook. In November, Yahoo's traffic reached 136 million people and made it the most popular property on the web. However, Google surpasses Yahoo in searching. Google has narrowed Traffic to Yahoo from 22 million people to less than 5 million. To more readily compete, Yahoo is changing to provide more access to third party applications and content. Since the change, Yahoo's front page traffic increased by more than 6 million in the last year.
